Nach unser allmorgentlichen Schwimmuebung in den Wellen von Venice machten wir uns auf ueber den Sunset Blvd. zu einem kulturellen Besuch im Getty Center, bestaunten die reichen Anwesen in Bel Air und den Beverly Hills und aßen schließlich in der Mensa der größten und aeltesten Uni der USA, der UCLA zu Mittag. Das wir auch heute wieder schwimmen waren werde ich ab sofort nicht mehr erwaehnen...es wuerde Euch ja nur langweilen, deshalb direkt zum spannenden Teil. Six Flag Magic Mountain stand heute auf der Tagesordnung, nachdem zuvor einige Villen der Reichen und Schoenen, u.a. von Jennifer Lopez, Brad Pitt und Hugh Heffner (Playboy) gesichtet wurden. Heute war grosskampftag angesagt. Frueh am morgen ging es los nach L.A. um erstmal schoen viel Klamotten fuer guenstig money zu ergattern...was uns auch echt gut gelang. Zusammen mit unseren Franz-Mann aus unserem Zimmer waren wir im Beverly-Center und Farmers Market und haben im Shoppingrausch maechtig Geld ausgegeben... ;)

Hi y'all This is just a quick summary. Arrived in LA to a hot day although one of the airport officials told us to wrap up warmly because it was "cold" outside. Probably 20 instead of 25. Picked up by Ian, our Hostel manager. Tall English guy nice and easy to talk to. Settled into our room and went out for a walk to see the sights. Off to Venice Beach. We arrived in Los Angeles at about 3:00pm which is weird having only left at about 12:00am But that's time differences for you. It's the closest thing to time travelling that you can do, so I find it really cool. Went to the car rental place and picked up our car, we were made up by the fact it was the convertable Mustang that Dave had wanted. Little Ted and his friends flew from Rarotonga to Los Angeles. The flight took nine and a half hours, so there was plenty of time to watch lots of films. Little Ted saw many strange things in LA but he loved it!
