Wow, what a day! Started with rain (par for the course for us) and some technical difficulties as we'd forgot to set our alarm to local time... Rookie mistake. ... Cassava is a staple and they had many gardens planted so they would have a constant harvest. They experienced the same cyclone we had while in Cairns, Australia a few weeks ago. To protect their crops, the plants had to be cut down before the storm so we saw lots of freshly planted gardens.
