Usa Hostels San Francisco

Hi All We have safely arrived in San Francisco. Our flight was good. we were well looked after and fed. we also had loads of films to watch etc. The only downside was we were in the middle of two people who did not get up at all and were asleep for practically the whole 11 hours. except when we barged them out the way. Well we arrived in San Francisco after a LONG bus journey on the Greyhound, which was an experience! It was early morning we arrived so we headed straight to the hostel to dump our bags, we decided to walk from the bus station not knowing how far away it was so this took a while! Once at the hostel we left our bags and had a sit down before going a walk around the city to see what it was like. First stop San Francisco. It's very hot here. 35 degrees C and sunny. Yay! I finally get to experience summer. I am now used to walking uphill after lugging my backpack uphill for 10 blocks... It's a very European type city with lots to do and extensive public transport. I already managed to go to an event in an obscure bar in the Mission area. Today, I spent the day with the 2 lovely Hannahs from Kent. They are on their last leg of their rtw (round the world) trip.

Okay - so it took me a little while to get round to updating the blog - I am very sorry but the next few entries will explain why and hopefully I will be forgiven. So - San Francisco. San Francisco has all the best that America can offer- Good food, friendly educated people, great weather and a sense of culture, coolness and taste. My first night started with the Hostel pub crawl. Well, once again my well laid plans to hit golden gate park were seriously challenged by the fabulousness of Haight street. Met up with Bunny and Jules and we shopped and shopped. I got a bunch of teeshirts, a vintage sun dress, a lace corset, multiple pairs of earrings, crazy socks, pants and a jacket. Thank god I decided to head over here with a half empty suitcase.
