... smaller amount, so the bank put the hold on the card. That was when the hotel cancelled our room keys! A 15 Euro call to the Bankwest call centre allowed us to figure out what was going on and to get the cards reactivated. So after all this we didn't have much time for our final bit of sight seeing. We did a quick trip to the queue at the Louvre. We had a great view of the Mona Lisa through a window... Emmet came too! ...

... bit odd, I did want to ask him if a sense of humour was complimentary. He was vaguely like the guy who works at the bookshop for Hugh Grant in Notting Hill, but with no ability to laugh. So just weird, and probably with a liking for knitted cardies. Was happy to leave him to listing off all the flavours of cupcakes to the next customer (dude, heard of a LIST???).

... of =) then we made our way over to the London Monument for the great fire of London , where we climbed 311 steps to the top, for some amazing views of London, you could see The shard, Tower Bridge, City Hall ( which is all convex and shiny) and the Dome of St. Paul's Cathedral. Once we finished admiring the views and got some kick butt pictures we climbed back down the 311 steps, and went back to Borough market for a very posh ...
