... a little single use Jewish hat, I cant remember what they are called. It wasnt very atmospheric inside, mainly due to the noise from the man vacuuming the altar. Takes all the mysticism out of a place! Outside the synagogue was a cemetary with mass graves containing those who died during the events of WWII, now turned into a garden. At the back of the synagogue is a memorial made of metal in the shape of a weeping willows. Each leaf has the name of a Hungarian Jew who lost ...

The original plan was to get up at half 8 so that we could get out of the hostel for 10 to go to the walking tour at half 10. Naturally this didn't happen as just like I do at home when I heard the alarm I just pressed snooze about a million times. I woke at 9:20 to find Madz wasn't out of bed either. It is on a hill so I was of course thrilled to be amongst a bit of nature, hiking with beautiful views looking back at the Pest side over my shoulder. Once on top, we saw Matthias Church and Fisherman´s Bastion which was castle-like with nooks that weaved in and out and overlooked the city. ...

... I saw the Egg, which is prominently featured in British television (if you know me at all, you know I watch copious amounts of British telly). We entered London air around 9am. Everything glittered in the sun and looked very much like a bedazzled version of London. None of my pictures could do the clouds justice, I'm sure, and I'm hoping the shots of the city turned out ok.

Last trip we got on a 'jitney' from the plane to the terminal, but this time we got off the plane into ...
