... rain, but this was not such a day. Temperatures rose to well above 25 (or at least that's how we felt) and there were hardly any clouds in the sky. So when we arrived at the dunes and managed to find a cite where we could lay our towels in the midst of a vast throng of naked and screaming children, burnt 'sun tanners' and brightly coloured umbrellas. ... Repacked my suitcase with all my clean clothes and got everything ready to leave the next day, and took a nice power nap. Cat and I took the tram into the city square because we were both craving Chinese and I got my last Amsterdam waffle. The Heineken factory was interesting, I don't really like it but might as well go to see the factory and everything. It started off having to read everything but then it became interactive, we got to taste what wort tastes like, kind of like corn flakes, it was barley ...

... say the least. Anything from guitars and gnomes to computer screens and buckets and spades adorn the various graves around!

Dinner was possibly the best food I have ever tasted from a small place in Jordaan called Daalder. If you get the chance I highly recommend it. The chef does meals from 3-6 courses, and you dont know what you will get!!! But trust me you will leave impressed by his creativity of flavours and textures.
