Our biggest treat came at Assiniboine Park, west of downtown on the south side of the river with the same name. It's a big part of the city's recreational features...the park sports a zoo, several different gardens, friendly prairie dogs, lots of trails, a conservatory...

... a 'castle' of flour, much as you might a sandcastle at the beach, except don't use damp flour! You then place a lolly (candy) on the top, and everyone takes turns at cutting away slices of flour.
