We are staying today in Winnipeg to visit some historical sites and retrace Ray's ancestors. We drove north-west to Lake Manitoba to the settlement of St Laurent approximately 90 kms. St. Laurent was incorporated in 1882, and has a population of approximately 1,305. We visited the graveyard and church. The bell in front of the church was cast in 1898. A drive out to the beaches of Lake ...

Thank goodness she came to pick me up, because the roads and weather that night were pretty gruesome, and I'm sure I'd have come to grief if I'd driven there on my all season tyres. It's been a busy last few weeks since my parents left and school began, that's for sure. I've travelled ( as you saw in the previous blog) that was already nearly a month ago, and this weekend I'm on a plane again heading to Chicago for the Thanksgiving long weekend. School is into its sixth week, extensive testing on everything from ...

... we come across a place called Egli's Sheep Farm and Animal Park. We get out to check the store that is filled with beautiful wool products and choose a few items and then decide to check out the animal park. We see huge rabbits, sheep, goats, alpacas, and elk (while munching on elk jerky). Lyndsey also made friends with a llama who ...
