... way at Arcadia, GEOFFREY BEACH and then to our stop. Horseshoe Bay was a beautiful beachside town with lots of eateries looking onto a beautiful beach, with palm trees lining the bay. We shard a seafood pizza (which was yummy) and w few drinks. Geoff went off to feed the birds again (the bird man). We then sat n the beach and had an ice cream. Trip back on ferry was a lot better. ... were leaving in the morning so we were given the car rental voucher. The prize was ideal considering the two of us had already planned to do the following day and it saved us almost $50! ... eagerly awaiting kangaroo steak and pumpkin salad. OH. MY. GOSH. It was delicious. We cooked it very quickly in some marinade and it was very lean meat so we were happy with ourselves we cooked it well enough to appreciate how it tasted, perhaps a little rare but we were warned not to overcook it! ... which was so cute. They look just like baby kangaroos! One of the mothers did in fact have a baby Joey in her pouch which was adorable, but without surprise, it made her quite anxious. Before long, an elderly man came on his wheel chair, and was literally a wallaby whisperer! We were all feeding one at a time, which didn't last long as they were quite nervous, but this man had over 10 wallabies crowding around him for some food. ... am of these slithery horrid things - so for me this was quite an accomplishment. When it turned its head to look at me I had enough and handed (half of) it back.
