... day I made my group some scrambled egg while Scott entertained us. He had already been funny the day before, but being tired made him hilarious which made waking at 6 a whole lot easier. That day we saw the Champagne pools, the only place on Fraser where you can swim in salt water, had a beautiful view at Indian head and floated through Eli Creek. We also saw a couple of dingo's and a gigantic turtle, who sadly enough was dead. I don't know if it's supposed to mean something but ...

... the ??? We were absolutely swamped by birds, they were on my head and arms, they were unbelievably noisy and really hurt clawing me for the food. I ran away and escaped almost immediately. The tour was really good, we learnt a lot about the wildlife, most significantly that koalas are not bears, they were referred to as bears as poachers from England used to stuff them! After the tour me and Lauren got the local bus 10 minutes away to a place where wallabies ...

... a Chinese we saw there earlier, the restaurant was shut so we had as takeaway and ate it looking out over the sea, it was a bit odd. A bird joined us while we were eating dinner, it kept staring at us and hissing. We went back to the hostel and claimed another welcome drink (a couple in our room that were checking out hadn't used theirs so they gifted them to us) We got some more cocktails and partook in the hostels ...

... was the Ross River Dam Borrow Pits. Don't know what they were supposed to be but it looked like a small Billabong. This at least was a nice spot and Michelle found a Channel-billed Cuckoo which was one of her favorite birds. She took a couple of good shots of it downing a large insect.
