    Day one - Perfect weather - in fact we are all a little burnt (NOT Paul - he bought his sun screen)

    Off to see the World Trade Centre Memorial. Very impressive and very emotional. a beautiful symbolic trubute to an unimaginable event.

    Everywhere I turn there is another HM Store; I don't even know what H&M stands for. There are designer stores in Midtown, designer stores in Soho; hell, I saw a hattery , , , when's the last time you saw a hattery? . . . in Brooklyn advertising . . . I kid you not . . . Stetsons. I suppose there must be cowboys east of the East River, but I haven't seen them sporting their chapeaus.

    ... Edinburgh walking tour Best Port for Services - Belfast supplied a complimentary shuttle from the port to the city. A close second was Greenock, Scotland where they provided a shot of Scotch to every passenger. Best Port "on our own" - Greenock for Glasgow. Some of our best bargains were found in Glasgow. Their shopping is quite good. Best Port for exercise - Dublin where it was an hour walk each way from ship to city centre, and horseback riding ...

    ... any food for lunch and the bus was non-stop to New York but luckily we had a large Pringles chips and a couple of bananas at least in Daisy's bag. It was a long bus trip but wasn't too bad and it took about 60 minutes from the time we hit the outskirts of New York because it was peak-hour.
