We slept in so long that we skipped breakfast and went straight for lunch. This was unfortunately necessary as the kids still hadn't adjusted to the time zones properly. Still we managed to fit a bit in... Unfortunately the camera didn't charge properly overnight so I used my phone but can't upload those photos right now. Highlights: - boat trip to see the Statue of Liberty - eating pie at a real American Diner (cross that off the bucket ...

My heart skipped a beat Wednesday afternoon as there was a loud banging in the hallway and then on our door. Luckily Thomas was home for lunch or I would have really spacked out. I peered through the spy hole in our door to see our corridor filled with fireman. Now ladies whilst that might sound very exciting in reality it was terrifying and memories of the fire in the hotel we stayed in during our first 2 weeks in NY came flooding ...

We grab a quick pub lunch and enjoy sitting down from our 40 min walk across the bridge (we took it slow and were stopping to take lots of pics). Then next door was a fancy schmancy chocolate shop. We felt like a little something sweet after lunch so Hinesh gets an ounce of dark chocolate with nuts and I get a giant cookie. It was sooo good but I ...

... would have got to the 86th Floor as the lifts probably take only 10-12 people at a time. The view is of course spectacular but really 15 or 20 minutes is all I need to take it in and then I'm ready for the next thing. The next thing was the World Trade centre site and memorials. On the footprint of each tower they have a fountain where the water disappears into a giant hole in the centre. The memorial surrounds have all the names of those who perished and it ...

Austria, Czech, and Germany Review

A travel blog entry by abryan124 on Jul 11, 2014

... did AMAZING AND THRILLING paragliding and saw the Disney castle. I had the best roommates I had on the trip and I am blessed I had that opportunity. My hostel was really good for breakfast, meeting people, and location. I didn't know until I got there that it was the best one in Munich! It is a different city than Koln and Berlin because the city choose to rebuild in the classic ways. Munich was a great city to dive into history, the German ...
