    ... The subway is definitely the cheapest way to commute -$2:50 to anywhere. We get off the train head up to the street where we are just engulfed by skyscrapers. It takes Tonys breath away for a second, the smile across his face says it all - he's in live with New York, everything about it - sights, sounds, the pace of life, the accent but not the rudeness of the people but I guess that's all part of the parcel.     Happy Birthday Cathy!!! Lighter stuff today!! 0600hrs - much huffing and puffing as balloons are surreptitiously inflated in preparation for the big day. The cake has survived as well as a small bottle of Champagne. The birthday chamber is assembled. Cards are opened and the day gets off to a good start!.     ... incredible how much space those buildings took up, and how many people worked in them. The area is now lots of trees surrounding a massive pool of water with a constant cascading waterfall running down each side. Surrounding it are the names of everyone who died that day.
