We missed the port of Halifax due to iceberg and heavy fog the fog horns were sounding every two minutes from the middle of the night till about 10 o'clock the next morning when the fog finally lifted. The fog was so thick you could not see the water.A few people were winging but I rather be safe than sorry and the captain gets his orders from head office. The alarm was set for 3:20am but Janene was up and about at 3:15am.The bags were already packed so it was grab a quick shower, and head upstairs to the taxi. We got to the airport in plenty of time and after a slight hiccup going through security (apparently we need passports for domestic flights too...... sorry Nene) we grabbed some maccas breakfast and waited at the gate to board.

In one part of the museum called the ruin we saw what state the building was found in with hundreds of layers of different wallpapers peeling from the walls showing the personalisation of each previous tenant. ... being able to thoroughly enjoy their experience in the Galapagos. Most of our students came with us to the lagoon, which was not a required part of the tour, and that was very special to me. They bonded as a group (I couldn’t tell the Bard students from the rest of the NY contingent) and that warmed my heart. Great trip! Can’t wait to return! Muchas gracias Victor!

... and a boat trip to see the statue of liberty. First we decided to do the uptown bus tour which went all around the edge of central park up to Grants Tomb and back again. It was freezing on the top of the bus and very windy! When it started to rain we did have to move down stairs.
