... those of you not aware you buy your own food before you get on plane when you are flying within America, is hilarious, everyone unwraps their goodies and tucks in. They only supply coffee. Interesting how they run the plane here, asked if everyone was comfortable and did anyone want to change seats. The walls are lined with photos of famous faces and testimonials (even one directly from the Whitehouse).

After waiting in line for about 20 mins, (I think the woman in front of me was ordering lunch for her entire building!)
I ordered/got my pastrami on rye and proceeded to try and find a place to sit - no mean feat given the popularity ...

... went to one of the standing tables so I could eat it and there was another lady there eating one as well. As I was trying to eat it without making a mess of myself (lots of frosting and very moist)...she saw my struggle and gave me a wet wipe from the package she had on the table. Today the travel caught up with us and we didn't wake up until late morning. When we did look out the window, it was pouring with rain and the forecast said it would rain all day - it certainly did. That meant a change of plans from heading along the Hudson River to sticking a bit closer to home. We started the day at the Green Flea market which is held at a local school every Sunday. I got a really gorgeous ring there last year. It was a bit slow, none of the outside stall holders ...

Show day and sad day

... tickets for Les Miserables at 7:00pm. Went back to the hotel for our wine and hors d'houvres then off to the show. Another terrific show.
On checking e-mails on the Wi-fi an email from mom has let us know that Dad passed peacefully last night. She requests we don't change our travel plans so will finish the trip then probably make a trip home. Sad day.
