Set off this morning bright eyed and bushy tailed for the ticket booth having breakfast on the way at one of the many nearby Delis., That was when it began to rain. Did we have jackets or brollies etc. Dont be silly, of course not. First mistake of the day. In our innocence we thought we might just be lucky to get tickets for a matinee but about 400 other people had the same idea. Second mistake of the day. Overheard someone say theatre box offices ...

... along to the music. They drew almost as big an audience as the trumpet player! After Central Park, the antidote is to walk back down 5th Avenue where all the fancy shops are. Every designer label is represented here and the shop windows are beautifully dressed. We stopped off at the Rockefeller Centre for a beer and to enjoy the ambience. ... Ferry to take in a view of the Statue of Liberty for free and just enjoy a bit of a boat ride. Dinner at a recommended bagel and coffee shop (i ate the saltiest bagel ever made) then to bed.

... br> Overall we had 2 cocktails each and did a full 360 rotational view of Manhatten. The napkins had the pictures and names of the buildings so that made it easy to identify key buildings. Thanks Sara for the drink money!!!
