    On Tuesday I met Nicua, a friend of my mum's friend, and her friend Katrina for a 12km hike. We went to John Forrest National Park Heritage Trail, it used to be a train track. It was a lovely walk. We saw so many different species of beautiful birds, a lizard with a stubby tail known as a skink and a fair few mummy kangaroos with their joeys.

    It was another miserable grey day when I left Melbourne on Thursday but I was greeted by blazing hot sunshine in Perth. On Friday it was another early pick up for a 4 day Monkey Mia tour.
