We had originally booked into a dorm room, but due to over booking were moved into a private twin - great news! The room had a fan and a t.v. which was good as we were staying suring the heatwave. The bread provided for breakfast in the morning is fresh and delicious. All staff were really helpful and friendly. Wifi doesn't work in all the rooms so communal spaces do get busy.

I love Melbourne. I have felt at home here from the moment we arrived. It's a great city; it has the perfect amount of people, buildings, and activity. I love its mix of new and old architecture and the variety of styles, just enough to keep it interesting but not so much as to assault the eye. There are tons of great parks. There's a nice relaxed …

Or Not Marvelous? (Melbourne is Trying to Kill Me)

Things went downhill rather quickly during the second half of my stay in Melbourne. The city which I had grown quite fond of seemed to be trying to kill me through a combination of illness, injury, and embarrassment. Illness: I started feeling like I was coming down with something during my trip with Marius, Frank, and Jill to the Twelve Apostles. …

          Melbourne (21/09) Great Ocean Road

On our fairly tight schedule we didn’t have time to go all the way to Adelaide but we still wanted to see some of the South Coast so we booked on to the Great Ocean Road day trip which would take us as far as the 12 Apostles. This meant an early start as we were on the road by half 7.
