Well it turns out you can't just fly to paradise, you have to go through Cairns. Let me explain. Arriving at the airport into torrential rain, it was still boiling hot. By the time I leave Cairns, I wll have been here for 11 nights. That's a long time considering that there's not a great deal to do in Cairns. Hello Australia!!

What a good time in Cairns. It was so nice getting off the plane in Cairns to see swaying palm trees, and realizing I didn't need any warm clothes at all anymore.
