Very clean and well-run facilities. Twice-weekly BBQs, hospitable common areas and hot tub make this a great place to meet people.
It's a little bit of a trek from Manhattan, but at least the metro station is nearby.

great place, well equiped, nice rooms, kitchen. could do with a bigger communal area. Found the staff and generally people there not very friendly, and a problem on my last night there, being kicked out due to fire hazards, health and safety etc, being shut down, staff not very helpful at all in helping to find alternative accommodation! very poorly handled!

Truly a hipster paradise! I loved the free breakfast where everyone was given food and just left to it in the kitchen. Very hippie-commune-esque.

July 4th- 5th So, yesterday (4th July) I spent most of the day walking round New York, I walked down to time square early, then headed back up 5th avenue. Once I'd checked out of the hotel I went for a walk round Central Park, it was full of buskers, some of whom were very good, so I listened to them for a while. I then got the subway down to canal …

I took an overnight bus from Boston, but the bus company was terrible. I should have taken Greyhound or Megabus, but I took a Chinese company. Somehow, they didn't speak English and i was dropped off in the middle of the night in a street of Chinatown. Furthermore, they didn't care my cap I left in the bus when I left the bus. All in all, I made …

Having got the bus from phili, we checked in, decided there wasn't a great deal in Brooklyn to explore so ventured into Manhattan...What a place. We had a quick look at times square, were i spotted our first celebrity.... before meeting my parents who coincidentally are here as well …

But it’s not only the staff members who have changed. Management has also undergone vast modifications according to Goudy. “It’s cold here,” said Goudy, crossing his arms as if a chilling draft had just blown through. “Macy’s used to be somewhere you could work to feed your family, ...

... past the Statue of Liberty and to Ellis island. It was a great view to see the Statue up close, across the water you never got a proper look but seeing it up close was really great, plus it gave a great view of the city back across the water. And who knew what an epic adventure it would be to find a new york cheese cake for her cake, you would think it would be a bit easier wouldn't you? Despite that all, it was a great trip all round and a great experience. ...
