        Day 1 solo

So everyone left on the 7 week tour, & I'm manning the fort... Doodle went under a dresser & got in a sticky rat trap - at least we know who the rat is around here! I have no idea where the rat trap ended up... Pi brought in a flower in a pot from outside before she left, so I dealt with the ant family... All the trash cans & recycle bins are full. There ...

Travel day today, 5 1/2 - 6 hours. Went over a bridge that was named after Harriet Tubman. Kyler learned about her in school and memorized a poem about her and he was excited to be able to recite the whole poem, thank you miss Harris!! Stopped at Costco in savannah, gotta restock! The campground is beautiful, completely shaded and we have a 60 foot site. Can even start a fire... Yeah right. Hot and humid here. We were surprised. Haha. Looking forward to going to the ...

... is in a perfect location with the river on one side and a 5 minute walk to the ocean on the other. It was a bit windy so spent a few hours lounging at the pool and when the clouds came around 1, packed it in to start the trek north.

We took the scenic route along the #1 Coastal Highway. A little slower but certainly a more interesting travel than the highway.

Set up camp at the KOA in St Mary's, just on ...

        2nd Oct.

Just outside Savannah, we stopped at the Visitor Centre to pick up a map
of Georgia and got given a free illuminous orange pencil, as we took a
chance and requested a map of Florida as well. Before leaving the
Visitor Centre, we checked our email and also asked if they were aware
of any free campsites. Their response was no and that Walmart's in
Georgia, don't allow camping overnight any more as the ...
