      Two Locations. Night and Day!

There are two Hatter's locations that are just a few blocks apart from each other. They are like night and day! The Newton location is a much more dirty hostel all the way around, and it doesn't accommodate with ensuite rooms. Definitely stay at the Thompson location. They both however have a great staff, a pool table, a huge dvd collection and large screen tvs, and a video game console of some sort. ENJOY! Great locations!

Cheap, nice stay right in the action of Manchester. Had a nice common room and kitchen and friendly staff. Got full on weekends so they jack up there prices by about 50%... bummer

Not an amazing place, the rooms and beds were pretty average but the common was decent enough.

After having breakfast with Indy and Matt, we added each other on facebook and hugged our goodbyes! Catching the train around the UK is getting easier, the ride from Liverpool to Manchester was roughly an hour. So I spent the night at Hatter’s Hostel in Manchester and it was a really nice stay. I grabbed a bottle of wine and watched the soccer game. When Brazil was getting spanked by Germany with a 5-0 score, I decided to give the wine to one of the girls next to me and retire for the evening.

After a long day of flying I have finally arrived in Manchester. Quite tired as I haven't really slept for 24 hours now but I've already done a good deal of wandering and exploring. All the buildings look so neat while walking and it feels great to be exploring the city.

To round off the day yesterday, I was just putting the hatch covers down when I heard the distinctive sound of the coal boat coming. I looked out and sure enough I could see it coming towards us. I told Bryan and he came out and hailed the boat which pulled up alongside us and we bought 135 litres of diesel. The last time we topped up our fuel was when going into Alvechurch Marina in the middle of April.
