So, yeah, we jumped out of a plane.
Our dear friends the Munneries met and fell in love in Queenstown so I was always inclined to like it. However it is way prettier than we expected, set around a sparkling lake and surrounded by snow-dusted mountains.

After a fairly long drive we arrive in Queenstown and after checking into a hostel we drive a bit further round to Glenorchy. The drive is along the lake and it's really beautiful coming down into Glenorchy. Once at the town we go for a walk around by the river and a lagoon which is amazing. Some of The Lord of the Rings was filmed around this area …
Got back from Te Anau at 19.30, checked into our hostel, grabbed some Indian food in town, got back to the hostel and slept... Trying to get over a fever and sore throat, but not succeeding too well...
Wow! Queensland is just stunningly beautiful and a trip to Milford Sounds makes it even better. A lovely little town with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Enjoy the pictures and the nice little video :-)
How has this hostel rated in the past?
Staff are excellent and the private room is incredibly cosy. They WILL talk you into a skydive. And you will love it.
