    ... a turtle was great as was the monkey but points can only be scored when the divers are in the water and they the animals need to live in the water not in trees. A 2 - 2 score seemed fair - even though the snorkelers were the pool.

    After that dive Sammy was officially a qualified diver and both Sammy and Ian celebrated in the evening by meeting up with Jo and Billy (the owners of Borneo Dreams).

    ... and its after 8am!!! The blackout blinds in these smart hotels are something else!!!! They need to go into business making and selling them for sleep deprived mother creatures. The night we arrived we had a pretty awful one in the sleep department - I think Rafe was a bit freaked out and unsure of where he was and in pain with his very final molars so at 4am we gave up and bought him in bed with us.     ... course blamed the ‘government power’ supply, and told us that if we had a complaint we would need to visit the government power offices, write letters etc. Since the marina was doing electrical work under contract, and our jetty was the only one ‘hit’ it was obvious that the problem was the fault of the marina and had cost us to get the A/C repaired.     Back in Kuching, Hannah and I had a quiet day of planning, booking and backing up of photos at the Tribal Lodge. Another first for me followed later that day- we ate a lobster. It was very tasty indeed. And it wasn't even very expensive either- we ate at a food court on the roof of a car park (the glamour!) so it was back to basics with lovely fresh seafood everywhere. ...
