    Today we docked at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and had a small excursion booked.     I spent the day doing a trek on my own through the forest at the base of Mt KK while everyone else climbed it. It still wasn't an easy walk with lots of steep climbing and trudging through the rain with the cloud circling the trail making it pleasantly eerie.     ... size: small; line-height: normal;">We chose the first place we got to (Uncle Tans) as it looked ok and it felt like it was getting late. In reality, it was actually a pretty good deal as we got Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included in the room rate (£10 per night per person). It was basic accommodation but what can you expect for £10!
