    ... hornbills, kingfishers, numerous monkeys, a yellow ringed cat snake perched in a tree, and monitor lizards on the riverbanks.

    The animal theme continued that day even when we got back to our cabin as a squirrel had broken in and was feasting on some bananas we'd left on the side. He was so startled when we cornered him that he had an 'accident' on the floor...I think it was all part of his plan, the little scamp.
