We had heard that there wasn't that much to do here so had only given ourselves 2 days here with a night bus onto Arequipa on the second night. We were staying in the historic part of town so spent the first day exploring the city. After getting a little lost we made it to the Royal Palace for the changing of ...

The lines were created by simply removing the black rocks on top of the white sand and placing them along the side so as to protect the exposed sand from the dessert winds. Just to add insult to injury the overnight bus arrived in Cusco 2 hours early at 4:30am and I couldn't check in until 9am.
I got to the airport to play the first waiting game. No seats or anything to eat or drink and no running water in the toilets. This and being full of cold (and very cold!) I was feeling very sorry for myself at this point. I ...

Davina had met some friends from Cusco and in the afternoon went to a beach a few hours away for an overnight party... Axel and I were thinking about going but my stomach was still bad and I didn't want to be in pain and stuck on a beach I couldn't leave until the morning! Plus we had just got off a horrendous 22 hours bus ride!

Axel and I spoke to Jess and Toby, the owner and bar managers ...
