... is an old pub/carvery that has a kid's play-for-pay facility attached. I assume that is so parents can enjoy their pints and/or dinners while watching their kids in the playroom. The kids seem to love it.

There were eleven of us today and it was a nice chance to spend some down time with Brian's kids and their families.

The rest of our trip will almost seem like an anti-climax, as we ended up achieving some of our aims. Anyway, we are off to Shrewsbury, of which we don’t know much, then Gloucester, to finish in London. Our trip is heading to a climax and we have experienced the emotional highs of visiting our ancestral homes.

... We went to a beach-themed screening of the US vs Germany game. US may have lost the game- but they went through. And they're gonna beat Belgium when they play tonight! Of course we also had fish and chips (chippy!), and I got to experience some of Manchester nightlife. I got to see the oldest fragment of the New Testament in a library in Manchester. It was a gorgeous library. And on my last day there, we took a road trip to Conwy Castle in Wales. Visiting Wales ...
