      ... us to wineries and Lutheran churches in the Barrassa and Eden valleys, we had fresh chook eggs for breakfast and Tasmanian salmon for dinner. I have not eaten so well or laughed so *************g time. In the earlyish 1800s, the Barrassa Valley was settled by German immigrants who fled religious persecution.       ... Hills called Hahndorf. It was a 30 minute drive from the CBD which took us in a South Easterly direction. The winery was beautiful, we sampled 15 different wines before embarking on a 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The food and wine were real good, as were the views.       ... inland via Banana, great name for a town, not sure if they actually grow bananas round here. this and the surrounding area must have the most Hi Vis and FIFO's, towns are packed with them, new little towns of rows and rows of new cabins, airstrips being made longer and wider to take bigger planes....amazing!
