    ... Park to spot moose. and low and behold we saw two..
    Stopped at the info center to let the pups out to pee...just out of the car and I spotted something jump on to Addie, yep another the little *******

    Made it thru the park and turned right at Barry's Bay to find Sunnyhill Park and drove to the end of the world but it was worth it. What a gorgeous park....right on Bark Lake. very friendly people there.

    ... a bakery in Bancroft for some sweet treats; Pecan Butter Tarts, and also the Kawartha Dairy & Ice Creamery for a delicious ice cream. We arrived at Sylvia and Rob's cottage mid afternoon. The drive up the road to their cottage was covered in snow, as well as all through the surrounding forest. Just beautiful. I had no idea what to expect, as we had to leave the car down the road from the cottage due to snow, and walk the rest of the way. That was a treat ...

    Montreal is a funny old place. I was woken up by a mental woman shouting at the top of her voice in the street outside our room at 3am. It seems like there's shady characters everywhere here.     ... a cosy first night. The rest of the weekend consisted of raking up pine needles, long walks in the woods, fires by the lake and lots and lots of delicious food. On arrival back in Ottawa on Monday the weather was, again, beautiful and I set about raking up lots of leaves from the back yard - now up to 16 bags since the start of 'fall'!
