      We stayed on the b&b side. Clean quiet with a beer every night. They also claim a pancake breakfast but this was disappointing as there is no syrup and the pancakes are cold and to be waked in the microwave.

      Cool place, but not what I was expecting in the beer category...The owner is also the owner of Saya Beer, which is made elswhere in La Paz...We thought the place was a functioning micro brewery, thanks to Lonely Planet...

      the good: great atmosphere, nice staff, FREE beer every night, two decent bars, loads of games and in house travel agency. Not too much of a party hostel so you can still sleep when you want to but their is still fun to be found if u look for it.
      the bad: located right on a busy avenue. can be really loud with rush our traffic in the morning or if youre unlucky, parades! room was cramped and small

      I would have no problem recommending this hostel

      Pros;
      Hot and powerful showers (and the curtain actually reaches the floor so the whole bathroom stays dry - a first in Bolivia!)

      Pancake Breakfast with tea and coffee- a nice touch

      Use of kitchen for most of the day

      Comfortable beds and a good nights sleep

      Excellent Wifi & two computers to use free of charge

      Helpful staff who provide map and with whatever you need

      Location: probably closest hostel from airport and right outside bus station.

      Cons;

      Could do with a bit of a lift decor wise but nothing to complain about really

      The free beer doesnt taste great.-..but its still free!

      Overall enjoyable stay!

      Stayed in the newer B&B just up the hill from the original. A 12 bed dorm with shared bathroom was only 47 bolivianos/night. It got surprisingly quiet at night, except for street noise (get the other side of the building). The fee included a beer each night and pancake breakfast each morning. The beers were alright, nothing special, and the breakfast was just coffee or tea and pancakes with butter or caramel. Nice people, decent travel agency attached as well.

      Ticked all the must have boxes, but looking a little tired. Could do with a really good clean and a coat of paint.

      Beds really comfortable; breakfast wasn't bread and jam - yeyah! - was pancakes - right next to the bus station.

      I initially booked this hostel because it was close to the bus station and advertised wifi. I was a bit worried it was a party hostel (I'm a bit old for party hostels) but because I wanted the wifi I booked it anyway. This hostel is a nice mix - it has a bar on the top floor, which in the evenings serves food (a single option which changes every day ), and has cheap drinks. So if you want to party you can. But the dorms are insulated enough from the noise of the bar that you can still get an early night if you want. The dorms are a decent size with big rucksack sized lockers. And they had pancakes for breakfast included in the price-fantastic.

      The hostel was spread across four floors with the rooftop bar the highlight. With fantastic views, well priced good food, a free beer every night you stay this really is a great place. The bar is a focal point but does not make this a loud and late party hostel. The rooms we had were both nice, clean and had en suite (although lacking towels). The reception is able and willing to help with everything from laundry to bus tickets. A word of warning, if you want breakfast get there early to avoid ridiculous queues for plates, cups and food! Overall, we were really pleased with this place.

      The horrible staff wanted me and my friend to pay for 3 beds. They pretended to call other hostels for us and said they were all full.... the guy told us that he had booked another night for us in a dorm, but the next day we woke up and the woman said I was wrong because there was no booking and no more beds, and that wasn't their problem! They practically threw us out! After that I had a COLD shower!!!!! Hate almost everything..... the breakfast is preetty good!

      We actually slept pretty well at the stinky hostel. John took up most of the bed because he sagged to the middle and I could not move him. We were up by 7AM and on a bus to La Paz by 8:30. We took a local bus to La Paz. Not to be mean but that bus stank. The locals smell like a mixture of the meat section of an outdoor market and some bad potatoes …

      Holy hard pillows. When I say hard, I mean hard... and they were thick. I did not use mine most of the night. I tried to put it over my eyes to block out the light but I almost suffocated. Tonight we have different pillows... at least I hope no one changed them out for different ones.

      Turned out to be anything but that for us - at least in terms of health. After our lunch in Cochabamba we all had stomach issues and the fact that we had been carrying around a cold since Sucre didn't make the situation any better. What eventually turned out as the cherry on top and nearly sent me on a rampage was the fact that my "super expensive …
