    Good for meeting travellers for the loop

    Only stayed the one night before heading off on a motorbike to experience the loop. Decent rooms, gets very busy so book ahead if looking for a cheaper double or dorm bed. Food was ok, great place to meet other travellers and find out all about the loop.

    the lodge is a really nice place to stay. simple, cheap dorms, nice courtyard with campfire, wooden building, in one word: nice :)

    Savannalhet was a nice quiet town but it was only a stopover for us. We wanted to make our way to Kong Lor Cave but it is a long way to go from Savannakhet so we thought about whether we should stay in Savannakhet or Vieng Kham.
