        Do you even need a map? In Germany, Austria, and Serbia, the many signs will keep you on the cycle route. Speaking to locals can close the information gap. The route in Slovakia is signed but not as well. The signs became sparse in Hungary. We saw absolutely no cycle route signs once we hit the Romanian border, a map is essential.

        ... cycled to bus-ticket office near City Park Mall, got tickets to Tulcea for 24th, 10:18 am bus (front seats of course).

        Almost 2,900 kilometers south east of Germany's Black Forest you will find the Black Sea. Although similarly named, the only connection they have to each other is that they are, respectively, the beginning and the end of the Danube River.
