Just as we stopped to enjoy some of the interesting street vendors and performers on the South Bank the clouds opened up once again and our rain jackets combined with Tim’s umbrella was still no match for this storm. ... She fired up on the first turn of the ignition.

On the return to London, Grant noted with amusement, that it was only in the UK and on the M25 motorway that you would find a panel van toting two bicycle racks one with a standard roadster and the other a Penny Farthing (one of the first practical bicycles ever produced).

... s a converted warehouse
and we are on the second floor. The rooms are very large and we have two
bathrooms, an ensuite with a walk in shower, with a very good water pressure
and a main bathroom with a second shower in the bath……how good is that.
The one problem is that the bed is as hard as the floor,

... to make a last minute booking, we sourced some very unique accommodation within walking distance-a yurt which had been erected in someone's garden. Travelling with bikes & equipment is often awkward-it's not just an easy train or bus ride to accommodation, but requires ordering large taxis which cost a pretty penny, so being able to walk across to it was a huge bonus.
