The lodges we stayed in were in the middle if a forest but our facilities were really good, 2 showers, 2 toilets, games, blankets, a heater a comfy, squishy beds, had a really good nights sleep here, also super close to the beach which was amazing!

Hostel in the middle of the Rainforest

This Hostel is set in a beautiful l;ocation in the middle of the Rainforest with only a 5 minute walk to a nice beach. The staff were so friendly and picked me up from the bus stop which was great. It reminded me of my stay in the Honduran Cloudforest, but the facilities were considerably better! Such a relaxing place, I wish I was staying longer.

The national park scoots around the coast with great walks through the forest and along the coastline. After a 12k walk we jumped on a catamaran and sailed back to see the coast from a different angle, …

So we set off from Abel Tasman, fairly uneventful trip apart from the coach door kept swinging open meaning someone's bag actually fell into the road! Luckily a skydive can was behind us and picked it up, there was a tense moment figuring out whose bag it was lol was quite a long bus journey, but we did stop at the pancake rocks which were pretty …

The morning wakeup call lead to quite a tense morning as both Tom & Joern were on the wait list. Being peak season, the buses are rather full so although Cuddles doesn't particularly care whether they sit in the aisle or in a seat so we had to keep our fingers crossed! Luckily a few people had jumped off so all was well and we were soon on o...
