Excellent, exotic, beautiful and unusual place to stay. A cabin in the rain forest, close to the beach and amazing Pancake Rocks

The lodges we stayed in were in the middle if a forest but our facilities were really good, 2 showers, 2 toilets, games, blankets, a heater a comfy, squishy beds, had a really good nights sleep here, also super close to the beach which was amazing!

Hostel in the middle of the Rainforest

This Hostel is set in a beautiful l;ocation in the middle of the Rainforest with only a 5 minute walk to a nice beach. The staff were so friendly and picked me up from the bus stop which was great. It reminded me of my stay in the Honduran Cloudforest, but the facilities were considerably better! Such a relaxing place, I wish I was staying longer.

Wonderful bed. Woke a few times, but had a refreshing night, violent downpours notwithstanding. Up, showered and chewed on a piece of toast by 8.30 ( breakfast included, apparently, so felt obliged eat something). Kirsty and John were around in the kitchen/ dining room area. It was a big house - a bungalow with five bedrooms, laundry room and the …

We got a new bus driver in Picton to take us to Abel Tasman national park and after a 5 hour drive we arrived into Marahau where we were staying. The national park scoots around the coast with great walks through the forest and along the coastline. After a 12k walk we jumped on a catamaran and sailed back to see the coast from a different angle, …

The morning wakeup call lead to quite a tense morning as both Tom & Joern were on the wait list. Being peak season, the buses are rather full so although Cuddles doesn't particularly care whether they sit in the aisle or in a seat so we had to keep our fingers crossed! Luckily a few people had jumped off so all was well and we were soon on o...
