    ... packed, smelly and vibrant. The alley pushes and twists through the heart of the village, the shops pushing into the street and overflowing with stalls and food. We found some local street food to try, with varying success. One dish, which apparently is a Taiwanese delicacy, sounds wonderful. It is a dish of crushed ice with a choice of toppings and sauce...     ... I now thoroughly dislike him. Although Taiwanese people are probably the nicest people I have met so far, Danny is definitely not one of them.

    In all, the trip to Taipei was really fun. It was also a lesson though: my next trips will be more planned and with a smaller group of people. Although we were in Taipei for almost 4 days, we didn't visit much because of our lack of preparation and because we were travelling with 10. Still, it was a great get-away!

    ... advantage of the lovely seats to sleep! As it was it took awhile to get H down and K refused to nap (though she needed it).

    The only bad thing was that the armrest didn't come all the way up. They watched A LOT of TV, including ChiaoHu, Up, and Charlotte's Web. There wasn't that many really age appropriate shows for their age on the flight.

    The kids took a short nap and then we had a 1 hour stopover ...
