... airport the moment had also come to see if my luggage was within the 40kgs I had pre-purchased. I was worried but my sister Sam said she thought I'd be ok - and thankfully she was right. Total was just under 40kg between them, phew!! After checking in the luggage we had time to sit in the food court. Wet and cold. In order to be at the airport with plenty of time, we decided to travel to Sydney today and spend the night at Rydges Airport Hotel. Jane and Phil dropped us at Newcastle Station for the 10.19am train to Central. Bob has a 11kg bag and a backpack as carry on and I have 13kg bag and a 2kg carry on. Our room is high enough for Bob to have a clear view of the planes coming and going- it's as though we're in the Control Tower! Wake up call is booked for ...
