... having big bags to carry what ends up being totally unnecessary baggage and only because you took it because you 'thought' you might need it. 12. Baggage on the trip is minimal which makes travel very simplified. The Pros definitely outweigh the Cons. Truth be known, even if they didn't, it's what you feel deep down and deep down, I'm ready to hop right back on the bike and do it all again. Even longer. Only one thing to do about it. Plan another ...

    The shortest day

A travel blog entry by laceys.log on Oct 07, 2015

This was a very short day for us with the changes in time zones. We had two hours in Singapore from 5 – 7am, I was very pleased to get proper internet speeds at Changi so was able to upload some of the blog and the emails. And then we were Sydney bound, another uneventful flight and the shorter 7 hour timing went quickly. Pete slept for a lot of the way, I dozed and read and watched ...

I plan to document this leg of my journey by sharing photos, my art, and my ...

... At this point the weather was awful... They say when it rains in Australia, it doesn't half rain- and they're right. We had lunch at the most delightful cafe, quite posh so it felt like a real treat. I wasn't really feeling very adventurous so just went for a burger- let down. We then took a stroll along the beach, up a hillside walk to a lighthouse with a gorgeous view over Palm beach as I'm often reminded by locals 'where home and away is filmed.' It's now ...

... north from Antarctica for winter. Unsuccessful on the whale front, it's a very enjoyable walk despite being more physically demanding than we expected, and we cut short the route as the day wears on and so do our legs! A ridiculously cheap dominos pizza dinner and bottle of white for dinner, and we have well and truly been wined and dined before hopping on the greyhound bus headed for Byron bay overnight, so hopefully we get some sleep on the ...
