... House and across from the bridge - an excellent spot, with a limited number of other spectators and unlimited food and drink.

We did question the cost as there are plenty of free viewing points in the area but in order to get a good spot, people get there 24 hours before time and stay there to keep it. The captain wanted him to come up, but it was our stop next, so we didn't have the time for that. Being 1pm we tried to get into a Pitt stop but couldn't go into ...

Only 2 security check points open- and still a lot of flights to leave Sydney. This was annoying- but can't be avoided. As I started to board the flight I was hoping my odd text was enough to get on the plane. I handed my phone to the JQ staff and they stuck it ...

... sauce and chips. We were the only ones in there by this time, it had emptied completely out. The staff were trying out the table arrangements for the next days event being the Melbourne cup. Having scoffed down our meals like it was a hangover cure, we said our grateful thanks to chef and left the staff to their rearranging table demonstrations. The walk home took half the time by taking the right route back, and were back before we knew it. Andy commented on how us girls ...
