It's a cool YHA, and you should always try and book these through their site, you are supposed to get better deals, and can become a member.
Got a 4 man dorm and luckily a bottom bunk.
Showers and toilets, not the cleanest I've seen, but it's still ok

The facilities are fairly good as hostels go, and decent wi-fi which was free on ground and first floors. The problem for me is that it is too big, people spread out and don't talk to each other an awful lot. Not the most sociable place! Maybe the time of year didn't help. It was winter and not the busiest time, so perhaps it's better in this respect at other times.

As expected the YHA hostel was really good, the staff were helpful, cheap cafe for breakfast and bars for the evening, and a huge kitchen so you can cook for yourself. Comfy beds and nice showers, and a rooftop pool!

Room was clean, toilets weren't far away and were clean, kitchen area is big enough for all your food!

It is fine if you need to get to Central Station easily, but if you are going to be staying for any other reason, the YHA on the Rocks is much nicer. This was okay though, just far from touristy things.

Arrived in Sydney at 9am and caught the airport train into the city. Dropped off our bags in the hostel and went for a wander around. Sydney is beautiful and contrary to what we had heard, we found the people there really friendly, polite and approachable. We caught up for a few beers, had some great food, and spent a lot of time looking but not touching the very lovely eye candy walking around.
