    Good value YHA Hostel

As expected the YHA hostel was really good, the staff were helpful, cheap cafe for breakfast and bars for the evening, and a huge kitchen so you can cook for yourself. Comfy beds and nice showers, and a rooftop pool!

Expensive, but still one of the cheaper hostels in Sydney, it was cheaper for us to become members on the door.
Room was clean, toilets weren't far away and were clean, kitchen area is big enough for all your food!

Not a great location, decent facilities

It is fine if you need to get to Central Station easily, but if you are going to be staying for any other reason, the YHA on the Rocks is much nicer. This was okay though, just far from touristy things.

There was bass thumping coming through the floor all night. The room had an automatic key card and so did the bathroom, so you couldn't go anywhere without a pass. The kitchen was extremely well done.

I stayed here for a couple of nights in september 2009. Sydney central is quite central and a big YHA, but it still is a nice, quiet and clean place. I would stay there again if I got an opportunity to go back to Sydney.

    Many magnificent marsupials

Today marked the beginning of the end of our trip. At 4am NZ time we rolled out of bed at Rolleston House and prepared to meet our shuttle to the airport. It only took ten minutes to get to the terminal and quite quickly we were through to airside. The flight was on time (I hear that is unusual for Jet Star) and we slept most of it. Apparently I …

    The world's largest IMAX

A travel blog entry by sophie.guy on Aug 17, 2014

The best pancakes in recent memory for breakfast at Bill's (thanks mum!!) took our minds off the horrendous rain this morning. Because the weather was so awful we decided to go to the IMAX on Darling Harbour to see Guardians of the Galaxy. The screen is the largest in the world and it made a difference! It was also an excellent film :) Amazingly …

The flights went well & we landed on time into Sydney. Both of us really tired and in need of regular snacks and caffeine! My mum met us at her hotel and took us for a proper breakfast at an original Bill's restaurant, which was yummy and much appreciated. We all walked to the Quay together, then Teresa and I went to the Sydney Opera House and took …
