Sydney city slicker - not sure I am anymore
We arrived late on Tuesday into Sydney airport, I have this weird feeling of coming home. Think it has something to do with arriving back in the same city twice, I felt like that in 2 months. Can't quite believe its only been 2 months, it feels like I've been away months. Our hostel is easy to find as its near the main station. Slightly on the …
Bondi and Manly
We wanted to make the most of our three days in Sydney to allow us to do the Blue Mountains at the end of our Australia trip! That said, we have had a jam packed couple of days! Yesterday we discovered the Bondi Beach Link ticket and took a train and connecting bus to the famous Bondi Beach! No trip to Sydney would be complete without …

WE ARE IN SYDNEY!!!!!
Yes we have officially left New Zealand, it was a sad exit! We love Queenstown and we were sad to say goodbye! We spent the last full day climbing up the Gondola hill (Bobs peak) again! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t amazing at the top, the cloud was low and we couldn’t see the mountain tops, but it …
3 months in Sydney
The first three months of my travels started in Sydney, beginning with all 20 or so of us slowly dwindling down to 2. We first of all stayed in the Sydney Central YHA, then when we return from surf camp we found a house in Enmore, a 15 minute bus ride from the centre of Sydney, which became our home until the 20th May when we leave for the east …
Busy month in an amazing city
The first thing I have to say about Sydney and NSW is that it is one of the most diverse places I have ever been. From Sydney CBD it's a 20 minute bus ride to beautiful beaches. The city itself feels really green and open, which is helped by the beautiful Royal Botantic Gardens. The only down side is that it is really expensive!!
Our first week …

Expensive, but still one of the cheaper hostels in Sydney, it was cheaper for us to become members on the door.
Room was clean, toilets weren't far away and were clean, kitchen area is big enough for all your food!

Very clean and tidy hostel. Will do nicely if your stay in Sydney is a short one.

It is fine if you need to get to Central Station easily, but if you are going to be staying for any other reason, the YHA on the Rocks is much nicer. This was okay though, just far from touristy things.

There was bass thumping coming through the floor all night. The room had an automatic key card and so did the bathroom, so you couldn't go anywhere without a pass. The kitchen was extremely well done.

I stayed here for a couple of nights in september 2009. Sydney central is quite central and a big YHA, but it still is a nice, quiet and clean place. I would stay there again if I got an opportunity to go back to Sydney.
