Surf n Dreams Guest Lodge Durban

Here I am again with some pictures for you. I will be going to Umlazi on Wednesday to stay and will meet my Zulu friends. I cant wait to see my friend Precious who I met when she was 13 and now she is 18. Having a very good time, although the weather is very weird, really hot for days, then it goes cold.<br>

I am staying with a coloured family in Sydenham for a few weeks, I met them 4 years ago. Has been good to catch up. I did one day of substitute teaching with grade ones, never again lol...and meeting lots of people and family members and eating good food. I have also visited a hospice, gone to Ushaka world, like Sea world, and see a lion look in the window at the car I was in when we went to a lions park. Today is Wednesday and we arrived in Durban last night. We had planned to go directly to the Drakensberg Mountains but once on the bus realized there was no good way to get there without a car. Luckily, we had the number for Jackie's Beechwood Guest House in Durban. She was fantastic; she picked us up at the bus station and was so helpful in our search for ways to get to the Drakensberg. Did a hike in the rain to the 'Hole in the Wall' which took about 4 hours! Also did a cultural tour of a local Xhosa traditional village - definitely an eye opener! After Mozambique and Swaziland I went back into South Africa and stayed in St Lucia for a few days. It was really nice there, the sun was shining and there was a lot going on.
