    ... inspired to use some of the gardening ideas back home in our own garden.

    Next stop was Orchard Road shopping district. Orchard Road was buzzing with the Saturday crowds shopping for bargains as Singapore is currently holding its yearly sale. The retail in this area is high end so prices were still high even at sale time. Good to browse but we looked but did not buy.

    ... soon disappeared and it became more and more an alpine hike over rocks that got more and more snow covered and slippery. Fighting against the bitter cold with my gloves freezing to the rocks in seconds I got to a side peak of Uchitel on probably about 4300m. I mentioned that I climbed it russian style, meaning without the proper gear. I had only light trekking shoes so my wet feets were freezing, forcing me to go down ...

    ... of architectural styles that have appeared since we were here last. One of the most spectacular of these new structures is the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It looks like a cruise ship perched on top of three tall towers. Greg reckons it must have been one hell of a Tsunami to get that ship up there!
