    ... doubt you will leave Cairns a few pounds heavier... But then again you can work it off out snorkelling or diving at the reef and walking through the rainforest. Cairns does actually have a reasonable waterfront with a nice "lagoon" (outdoor swimming pool overlooking the ocean).     ... speed boat ride out to our first snorkel point, here we got to see some awesome coral and swim with some fish. Then it was back in the boat for a short boat ride to the second snorkel destination. Here the four of us kept to ourselves a bit and we were lucky enough to see several green sea turtles, so calm and majestic in the water and let us swim right up to them.
