... the pythons like to come visit them. That put most all of us off from owning one.

Once we finished getting the thousand feet down the mountain it was off for a drive through Cairns to see the sights. Up until about 20 years ago the main industry was sugar cane (and there’s still lots around) but it was replaced by tourism. Seemed like it would have been a nice place to visit.
