... That afternoon we spent wondering around Cairns and then ate out that night. Our hotel was great - very clean and modern. It made a nice change to be staying in a smart hotel rather than my usual backpacking/slumming it!

La manta voleva semplicemente starsene tranquilla e sotterrarsi sotto la sabbia, come fa di solito, ma due pesciolini continuavano a dargli fastidio punzecchiandolo! ... in the van as we parked, and it wouldn't keep long - it had to be eaten. So, as we slathered ourselves with sunscreen and grabbed bites of warm yogurt/granola, the sea began to churn our stomachs. It was a rush to the deck to fix our eyes on the skyline before we fed the fishes our breakfast!
