Rooms were fine, shower head was broken. Breakfast was basic salad and bread. Free tea and coffee til 15:00 is nice. Staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Whenever asked for something it was as if I was interrupting their holiday, even if it was just for another beer. Very quick to tell u what u want is impossible and u'll have to book the expensive option with them. Very unhappy, figured it all out myself, just took twice as long. Location is perfect for sightseeing.

Great location, walking distance from the major sights, plenty of eating spots nearby and good food at the hostel. Basic rooms but clean. Shared bathrooms. WIFI in room.

Leaving at 2 AM wasn't exactly a cake-walk, but the whole experience was exponentially more positive than the preceding flight. The plane left and arrived on time, and we did not …

Istanbul - Where East Meets West

We took an overnight train to Istanbul from Plovdiv. We had to wake up about 1.5 hours into the journey to go thru Bulgaria immigration. Then, about another 2 hours, we had to get out to get our Turkey visa which was only paying $20 for a sticker and wait in a long line for our immigration stamp. As Theresa would say, "welcome to Turkey time." W...
