      ... and how they played different sports. it was all very interesting but we were not looking forward to the 2hour bus ride back (with another stop) That was our last day in Playa Del Carmen and that night we headed to Talum, still in Mexico.

      We arrived late to the hostel in Talum, Mamas Home. After the longest day ever we got there for the to tell us we didn't have a reservation, which we did. So we ended up having to share a top single bed bunk. The bed was taken but ...

      ... have WiFi so I can imagine an office running through airport with a handful of papers..
      We taxi out to runway.... Pilot... We are first in Que for takeoff.. but... there is a storm cell overhead and we have to wait for it to pass....
      OMG!!! what can they think of next??

      Plane rocks and sways,, lightning flashes... I check its pulse rate 160bpm.. Very pale... occasional apnoeas... Crosses my mind that she is not enjoying this...

      ... and as quickly as possible throw them on our bodies. We then realised the following day as we were relaxing in the ocean (clothed!) that not only the small crowd would've been able to see us, but the whole resort as the balconies face out to the sea... the things you think are a good idea after many tequilas! We laughed about this later - at least it made for a good story!

      A group of us were on the ministry and one of our friends suggested having lunch at a local Japanese place. This friend loves food and it was only about 11.30am but we agreed and followed him. It was not exactly a restaurant but not quite street food so I agreed to eat there. The chef, although Japanese, spoke Spanish and English so another friend struck up a conversation about who we were and what we were doing in the area.       ... and checked into the hostel that we booked which turned out to be really cool. The guys were friendly and gave us plenty of tips and ideas of what to do while we were here, including a full day bike tour which we planned to do the next day. We set off at 9am on bikes that cost us 80 pesos each, so about $7 and followed our mud map around the 28km loop that took us through tiny towns, quiet back streets and beautiful cenotes. ...
