      One word: Marina
Watch all the boats. Great! The Hostel is cool. The rooms have plenty much of space. Clean rooms, bathroom, livingroom. The kitchen is big and normally clean ;)

Went straight across to the beach, actually our first swim in the sea in Oz (apart from the Barrier Reef) because it's Stinger season in Queensland. The water was slightly chilly but very refreshing. The waves however were pretty big and very powerful, so more jumping around than swimming really. After the beach a few boring admin bits, laundry, …

When we arrived we didn't realize our hostel was quite far out of town, we had to wait a further one and a half hours for our shuttle bus. When we got to the hostel (the most expensive so far) we were slightly underwhelmed. However straight across the road is Main Beach, …

And now, it is late. Almost 1am and we have not achieved greatness. Bummer. And I really fancy a massive gin and tonic and some bar snacks. Unfortunately, we are all out of both of these. It might be for the best.

So tomorrow is a new day and I am hoping to wake with a spring in my step.

... Elwood does not really have a view on this, so he just says I’m a lion’. So they both play lions for a while and try and join in with some kids playing a completely different game. They are a bunch of bossy boots ; one is yelling ’I have a boat licence so I will be the captain – she is 5yrs old’ and another boy replies ‘Well my dad has a boat so I should be the captain – don’t you dad?’ . Elwood tries ...
