DAY 1: This morning was a complete rush due to the drinking consumption on our last night! We had a stroppy Scotsman, a dead Aussie, a just about there Chris and a not so bad for a change Katie! 10am coach and we live 20 min from village so our plan was to get a cab to the coach at 9.30, HOWEVER, this plan failed when we called for a cab and they …
A long flight but worth it. Vancouver, BC, Canada, home to Andrea who we met in Cuba and Gareth who I met in Jamaica.
Downtown was not as high rise as some of it US counterparts and it has a slightly smaller town feel about. Nearly everyone had a smile on their faces as summer is short here and everyone was enjoying the hot bright sunshine …
One of the most significant days of our entire trip round the world was the one when we left Edmonton & headed back into the Rocky Mountains to the town of Jasper, set in the middle of the Jasper National Park. This was my fourth stay here, but it will be my last. The staff were terribly unmotivated, resulting in absence and bad service, resulting in a dead mouse lying right in the common room for days, even after reporting. The hostel has an ideal location and it's not expensive. But the bad and old amenities and unmotivated service are a real bummer.
