So tired but still perservering
Michelle and I have had another fun filled day. We got to bed around 4:30 am after a night at the pub downstairs. We meet a few people and ended up having a dance off of old school dance styles. Michelle pulled out the sprinkler, the shopping cart, and the cabbage patch.
Those of you who know me know I can't dance my way out of a paper bag, …
Step One - Figure out hosteling in London
I made it to London! And now I'm exhausted! I can hardly make myself type anything else I'm so tired. I usually sleep so easily on planes, but not last night. Considering it is 5:15am in Raleigh and I only managed about 1 hour or so of sleep I think I am just going to have to cut myself some slack. Getting to London from the airport was really easy …
Things I've Learned So Far
So...I started this blog entry a while ago and I wrote a lot...I was going to title it Things I've Learned So Far...but I hadn't decided for sure yet...but now that is definitely the proper title and I'll start with a list of those things: 1. One last London hostel
Brighton is a beautiful city. It was a gorgeous (but cold) day, and I got to see the city a bit. I went to the Pavilion, as well as the lanes, and down to the beach. I saw Brighton Pier from a distance, but didn't go on it. I even sat and had a cup of coffee outside of a cafe while listening to a local artist sing for tips from the crowd. Debra and …
Jet-lagged in London
Back to grey London. Boy, I miss the California sunshine. Good news though, only about a month until I'm through the 2nd quarter of school. Can't wait. This has been a very tough quarter and I'm looking forward to spending a couple weeks in Ireland for the summer break. Oh, another bit of news, Ross and I finally put a deposit down for our wedding …

TravelPod Member ReviewsSt Christopher's Village London
I loved the atmosphere and friendliness of this place. A great introduction to hostels, my first hostel experience was at the St Christopher's and I loved everybody's attitudes and the convenience of a downstairs fun allowed for a lot of great nights. I stayed in the 22 bed dorm which was really large and comfortable. The amenities are all fine and cleaned regularly. Only complaint is when I stayed in one of the smaller dorms for a night there was only one PowerPoint and it was behind somebody else's bed so very difficulty to get to and not good for sharing.

Someone slept in my bed and the reception was awfully rude to me when I walked down the block to assess the situation. I can't wait to move to the St. Christopher's Camden.
