Paris - Day 1 & 2
Bonjour!
As my five days in Paris were so full on, and there are about 400 photos, I have spilt the blog into 3 :) This entry will cover Wednesday 16th May and Thursday 17th May.
After an enjoyable 4 days in Amsterdam it was time to jump on the bullet train south on my way to Paris. It was a good ride taking a little over 3 hours …
The beautiful Eiffel Tower
Wow, it has been a great weekend. Thursday night, Katy, Kelsa and I packed up our things and trained to Munich several hours before needed. We decided we wanted to walk around and shop, etc, before having to get on a 10 hour train ride. When we got to Munich, we went straight to a movie theater about 10 minutes from the train station. Katy and I …
Paris - say no more right?
I truly went in with an open mind and I'm glad I did, because generally I liked Paris for what it has.
It caters for everyone, especially for tight asses like me! At the end of the day, you can go and marvel and enjoy so many things whitout actually having to pay for them - which is brilliant!
Sure, you can pay for them, but I'm not an …
It all started with Room 406 (warning: long)
(This entry has been written from Barca and not, in fact Paris). So after my rather uneventful eurostar trip (except for tube line closures in london hampering my arrival at the station) i made it to Paris. Made it to my hostel checked in and went to my room (the afore mentioned room 406, for those not following on). the following story links …
Oui Oui Parie!
Unfortunately the fast trains were totally booked so we had to catch the slow ones – it took us an extra 4 hours to get there, but we finally made it at about 9.30. Hostel is new big, nice and clean. Had a few glasses of wine with dinner, sat in the downstairs restaurant/bar and chatted.
Free walking tour, latin ¼, Eiffel tower, Arc …

Quite expensive for a youth hostel, but a nice and organized place. Good breakfast included in the price, too. Very clean, and we felt safe all the time. Also, it's only a two-minute walk to the Riquet metro station (Line M7).

Everything was great here, apart from the showers and some of the other guest who were totally inconsiderate of other guests trying to sleep. Showers didnt drain to well, but nice hot water. Staff were really helpfull and always had a smile on there face. Free breakfast which was basic but tastey. All in all a nice place to stay.

At 30 euro a night or more at times, I though I would be expecting everything for that! But I soon realised its just PARIS!!!
The staff are brilliant, they have a great bar, basic breakfast is included - great recommendations and ratings, definitely worth a stay!
