First Day in London

Well, today we arrived in London and got off of the plane at about 8:00 local time. We then boarded a train to Hammersmith where we booked our first Hostel. It was only supposed to take a little bit but then because of reasons that we couldn't understand, it took us until after 10:00 to reach the hostel. We dropped our bags off and bought some one day passes for the Tube, the city's train system. We then took trains and saw Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big B...

London

Just trying to recover from a night of raving at Hardcore till I die in Birmingham so I will try and give a brief synopsis of the trip so far. Day one: Arrived in London in the evening of the 26th and went down to Jubilee walkway along the Thames by Parliment/Big Ben and across to the London all of which are impressive to see at night. Then headed back into the Theater district which is always hoping at night. Had dinner and some drinks down there and then headed back to Hammersmith where our...

London Calling

God, we love this town. There are so many things to do, and so many ways to spend money. We crammed as much of both of those as possible into three days. We've been to museums, pubs, theatres, palaces, pubs, parks, restaurants, and pubs. It’s been an incredible introduction to Europe. Let’s recap those last few days:

Last Tuesday we flew from Boston to New York. We had a 6-hour layover at JFK, so we spent most of that day emailing, Skyping, and getting caught up on our pict...

Spring Break: London

On Thursday we took the train to London. Although I wasn't feeling too great I still managed to enjoy some of the Scottish and English countryside. We got into King's Cross Station at about 3pm and looked around for platform 9 3/4 but alas, like Harry Potter we couldn't find it and we didn't have any Weasleys to ask so we gave up. We learned later that they moved it and we would have had to ask someone and that was just too much for a couple 20 year-olds. We got situated in out Hostel (which ...

London Calling

... as possible! I knew there was a reason it had taken me 24 years to spend a night in London and I won't be doing it again any time soon! 4-5 hours round trip to see the delights of the Tottenham High Road and the mighty Spurs is more than enough for me and I'll be doing that in a few week for the game against L'****! Total Spent: £235! Sidenote: As you can probably guess not all the pictures in this entry are from this trip, I just had nowhere else to put the others on my camera!

Update from Sophie

... rollercoaster called Space Mission 2 and he said it was good. PS I do not appreciate the dog poo on the footpath. We got on a plane and went to London. On the first day in London we stayed at home at the hotel with my nonna. My cousin Kate came over and we went to the par and saw squirrels. It was fun. I had an Indonesian dinner at the markets and it was good. We went home and I went to sleep. It was a big day.
