    Decent service, cool staff!

In terms of room quality and overall service it's very much like any hostel. Nice detail on the cards to access the rooms, much safer than keys, and also decent breakfast.

The staff was super nice and helpful, always with a smile. The bar downstaris has live music and activities every night, but it's rather small.

Negative notes: no internet in my room (34), a simple router on the floor would resolve. Water temperature on the shower too hot, and if you try to change it you get cold water.

Oh, the location is pretty much as good as it gets, super central just in front of the station.

    I'm Baa - ack!!

That's right - back in the Auld Stompin' Ground, and yes Belushi's has changed a wee bit. After a 10 hour bus ride from London (that didn't stop) we arrived in Auld Reekie at about 2am. We checked into the Blue Walls (now the White Walls) and crashed straight out. The morning was a typical chilly Edinburgh morning and Jen …

We loved the Middle East but we were really excited about heading to the UK. We were looking forward to the culture, the cuisine and having a break from battling the language barrier. Plus our wardrobe suitable for Muslim countries was wearing thin. I only had a couple if outfits that covered my shoulders and knees and Dane had only a handful of t- …

To travel to our next destination on our trip we took the train from Morpeth, just outside of Newcastle. The train was much quicker than those back home and seating was much better, it was like being on a plane. The ride gave us a great view of the countryside and we enjoyed several intense games of UNO to pass the time. Of course I let Rachel and …

Yesterday upon not hearing back from the Infocat about the job for yet another day (was meant to hear back Monday and today is Wednesday) I decided late last night to book a train ticket to Edinburgh and book two nights accommodation in Edinburgh itself. Low and behold around 9am this morning I did hear back from Infocat saying they would like to …

The train ride to Edinburgh was surprisingly comfortable and entertaining; we managed to score a booth that the four of us could sit around and play UNO haha. Phil lost most of the games poor bugger. We got to see a bit of the countryside from the train which was nice; we went past Bamburgh castle and Holy Island within 10 minutes….ahh if …
