I went back to check the departures at 11:30 (my bus was at 11), to find that it had vanished.

I checked my ticket to see if u had the right time.

I did.

Did I have the right day?


Somewhere in my planning, I put my calender to say I was leaving on the 31st, my mind to say I was leaving on the 31st but my ticket on the 28th.

... where Michael Jackson stayed and held his baby over the balcony. Stephanie's old roommate told me about it the last time I was in Berlin. We then walked all the way to the famous Check Point Charlie. Parts of the Berlin wall are displayed there with some pretty cool art.
That was our tourist walk of the day. Out feet were aching after out walk. We took the metro and the Bahn to Hackescher Markt, where we sat and had an early dinner. We walked around afterwords ...

... Americans. Great people and we all went out for dinner last night to this really cool eclectic American place, delicious food and great company! What more can a girl ask for! In Prague now, poor busabout driver got a wee bit lost on the way with diversions and one way streets! But we made it! Went out for tea with the gang and now just drying my washing before bed. Weather us **** at the moment but looks like it should improve tomorrow! Will keep you informed! ...

His couch was also pretty cool. It was a sleeping couch he had gotten only to accomodate other people. So I was one of the first ones to use it and what can I say... It was a sleeping couch :D

Soon after preparing the bed I went to sleep, looking forward to my next two legs the next day to Rome and then on to New York.

At that time I had no idea what was about to happen...

... gluhwein from a big cauldron that actually had a fenced of area with tables. It was a little more expensive than most but sold the best gluhwein that we came across (we tried a few, but it would be suicidal to try them all – there are dozens). We recalled that it had been in the section of the party mile that was the far side of the big wheel from the main stage so we went for a bit of a walk. The area around the big wheel was quite busy and there was a DJ or similar ...
