Frustrating hostel. There was a kitchen but you had to pay a deposit and individually grab equipment to use. The water was not hot enough or had a plug for hygienic cleaning. You have to pay for wifi too. The dorms were a decent size though.

    Cheap, Clean, Lukewarm water

Lovely staff. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but its would be worth more to just go to a local bakery. The water was not super hot in the showers, more like lukewarm, but the wifi was good (you have to pay but its cheap), and it was overall, very clean and nice.

    One word, cheap.
I stayed for 3 nights and it only cost 38 euro.
The place had a bar, hot showers and clean toilets.
There were supermarkets and restaurants in the area and the staff were very helpful.
The only problem was the wifi, sometimes it just didn't seem to work...
But still 3 euros for 2 days of wifi what can you say...

Stayed for two night, prices were good and the service was excellent. We stayed on the newly renovated 4th floor and had an outstanding experience

Only stay here if you want bed bugs and lots of them! My friend was so bitten up the next day she looked like one big red bug bite. She was miserable the rest of our trip, and they only gave us half a refund. Look elsewhere for accommodation, please!

A full day trip ahead with Mikes Bike Tours. The Sahara desert has created a heat wave that occurs once every five years and has left a mist of sand hovering in the air around the Bavarian Alps. It had been snowing a few days ago but now there are only small glimpses of snow on the mountain peaks.

We arrive early at the bike shop for our day tour to the castle. Unfortunately there has been a mix-up so we cannot go. Luckily we have time to reschedule and are given bikes for the day for free. Mine is Hansel and Fi's is Gretel. I begin to master the art of map holding, map reading and cycling on the right hand side of the road as we roll …

    Beer + Gardens = Bliss

Another small but much needed run in the glorious sun around the site of Oktoberfest. Without the extra roudy 8 million tourists guzzling 10,000 litres of beer served by wenches in tents, Theresienweise looks a tad boring. There is a concrete car park and a few patches of grass. I struggle to see how the park would fit everyone in it.

    Enchantment or Haunted

There is a fine line between enchantment and haunting. Both require the supernatural. To be enchanted is to be taken to another world. Enjoying that which you never imagined possible. Living in a world where nothing exists outside of yourself and the magic you are experiencing. Haunting. A cold, chill. A bad feeling …
