Frustrating hostel. There was a kitchen but you had to pay a deposit and individually grab equipment to use. The water was not hot enough or had a plug for hygienic cleaning. You have to pay for wifi too. The dorms were a decent size though.

Lovely staff. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but its would be worth more to just go to a local bakery. The water was not super hot in the showers, more like lukewarm, but the wifi was good (you have to pay but its cheap), and it was overall, very clean and nice.

    One word, cheap.
I stayed for 3 nights and it only cost 38 euro.
The place had a bar, hot showers and clean toilets.
There were supermarkets and restaurants in the area and the staff were very helpful.
The only problem was the wifi, sometimes it just didn't seem to work...
But still 3 euros for 2 days of wifi what can you say...

Stayed for two night, prices were good and the service was excellent. We stayed on the newly renovated 4th floor and had an outstanding experience

Only stay here if you want bed bugs and lots of them! My friend was so bitten up the next day she looked like one big red bug bite. She was miserable the rest of our trip, and they only gave us half a refund. Look elsewhere for accommodation, please!

Again, after only a few hours of sleep, we all had to get up to check out. Originally, I had plans of meeting my parents in Spain, but sometimes real life gets in the way. Anyways, I had no idea what I was going to do or where I was going to go at this point. Ben, Tricia, and Niki all headed back to the states, and Amber and Steven were headed to …

A little advice on etiquette is required before you arrive in Munich and sit down for that beer. Rather than a bring your own booze culture it's a bring your own food. Well sort of. Basically if you sit at one of the beer gardens and there is a table cloth on the table it is a full service seat. If just a good old fashioned picnic table no cloth …

    Day 1
We arrived at the hostel after a five-hour bus ride, tired, but excited to spend the next three days in Munich. After we had unpacked we headed to Marienplatz to see the famous Glockenspiel. Then we were allowed to split up and explore the main square. As we witnessed this immense beauty of Munich our enjoyment grew rapidly. The squad …

We arrived in Munich from our overnight bus at 6.30am and it was freezing. We walked for around twenty minutes to find our hostel 'Smart Stay'. We had a set of bunks in an eight bed dorm and it was the most expensive place that we stayed in since leaving Australia five months earlier. Not because it was super fancy just because everyone jacks their …

Munich, laundry and a call home

... trinkets that lined her kitchen ledge, and the picture that had hung at the foot of her bed of the safe little red cottage in the valley surrounded by huge mountains. I always used to think I'd walk there someday. It's a lonely little house--but oh so peaceful. I remembered something that I'd read on the el in Chicago...something about the difference between loneliness and solitude. I remembered the soft lamp glow of my grandmother's cozy living room full of her ...
