... they rarely rode, saving their team to haul their goods) all the way form the Missouri River. They would make 8 miles on a good day and if it rained and the mud came they would fight the mire to make a mile. A whole new prospective on where we were.

We made a quick toilet stop while we were on our way to Independence Rock. Now I don't have an issue with stopping for a quick loo break, however waiting in line with 30 other women for 2 gas station toilets gets on your nerves pretty quickly.
