Six Degrees is an oasis in a busy city, the owners run the hostel and certainly know what they are doing, friendly staff and a very clean building.
The rooms vary from podstyle 4 bed dorms, 8 bed dorms and some doubles, all with shared bathrooms which are spotless and always at least one available. Rooms have aircon and there is a kitchen on 3rd floor for guests to use. Lovely roofgarden and downstairs you have 2 internet facilities, free wifi throughout the building. There is a giant cinema screen and a big tv for dvd,s and normal use. A breakfast of fresh fruit, juice and toast is part of. The package and snacks during the day are available, also free water and 24/7 coffee and tea.
All in all a great budget hostel well worth the money.

THE Place to stay in Jakarta

I can't say enough about the owners of this place. Super friendly people with an awesome cat named Nemo. Everything you've read in the positive comments is 100% correct. Clean, fun, comfortable, friendly, relaxed. I haven't stayed at a lot of hostels in Asia, but I have to believe people when they say this one is the best. From my limited experience (5-6 hostels) I can promise you it's the best Internet connection I've ever had!

Eat at the place directly across the street. Excellent food.

You know you've got a great hostel when IT is the destination itself. I'd come back just to stay here and see everyone again! :-)

Very clean rooms for a good price. Friendly staff and nothing to complain. We would have stayed longer than that one night, but it was full for the second night...

    Welcome to Jakarta

Zo …

... their tits off back home - ha ha ha!!

Unfortunately for us, after the New Year festivities we have to get an 8am train back tomorrow morning, but as I only have 5 weeks left, I don't really care! EF can give me a hellish schedule all they want but if I'm too tired, I might just be ill - or we'll watch movies adn chat in class. That is my new year's resolution! Ha! ;-)

So HAPPY 2012 to you all! I'll see you on the other side :-)

This can all be remedied as so:

    1) Enter toilet
    2) Take Bum Gun and wash down toilet seat (and floor if you fancy it - in fact, if the floor is already clean, you could even leave your shoes outside, thus keeping sand and other grot outside.)
    3) Seat comfortably on the toilet :-)
    4) When you have finished give yourself a squirt (trust me - it makes you feel ...
