As per Japanese hostels, this was a clean, comfortable hostel located on two floors at the top of a high-rise. Navigating to the hostel from the station can be a bit complicated and also realizing that you have to take specific elevators to reach the floors (and not the offices below).
I found it popular with students and school groups so there's definitely a hectic teenager-y vibe. Also more expensive some other hostel options that are actually in the city.
The location is the biggest drawback (or plus, under certain circumstances). If you are looking to explore Osaka proper on a budget, you might prefer a hostel like J-Hoppers Osaka, which has the benefit of being cheaper and on the main circle line, as opposed to several transfers and 15 minutes out of the city. On the other hand, if you have to catch an early Shinkansen (bullet train) from Shin-Osaka station, this is a great option since it's a 5 minute walk to the station and avoids a 15-30 min ride from Osaka station itself.
