... were beautiful. We even saw the same first bride and groom again when we had walked back across the bridge to our hostel- they were in a specially decorated horse-drawn carriage this time.
We had the best Spanish dinner (changing my mind for the better about Spanish food) at some random restaurant by our hostel. Then we came back here, and that’s where we are now- with our Polish hostel mates. Tomorrow we are taking a train 3 hours east to a Spanish town called Granada. Bye!

... blue sky and the sun would be beating down on us all day.
There's so many ways to explain how hot it was today. There’s f*ing hot, Africa hot, hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk hot, sweating bullets hot. Today was hotter than all that. Think of the hottest day you’ve ever experienced. Now, in that heat, lay down on hot sand with just a bathing suit on in the hot sun for half an hour until ...
... that more people will become aware of how our leaders not only affect what happens to us as Americans but the rest of the world as well. Obama has some big expectations to meet from the rest of the world so I hope we as a country do not disappoint. If we do, pertaining to environmental issues, the world and its resources are going to be in bad shape. Jesus told us that the main two countries to hope become more environmentally ...
Seville, Spain claudivSeville was a beautiful city. It was much more unique and historic than Madrid and made you feel like you were in an old spanish village. We happened to be there during a cathlic holiday so it was crazy and confusing but it was still very nice. I really liked Seville and would definately go back if I was given the chance. My purse was stolen in the train station here but luckily I didn't hav anything really important in it and everything turned out alright.
Seville, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands buteng1... dancing seen in the Lord of the Dance. Also the upright posture and strength of the upper body reminded me of tango. After an internet search, I found a forum where someone was saying flamenco is tango for one, as while a couple may dance together, they are really dancing solo in a back and forth dialogue mode of self expression. But the difference is deeper than this, the forum concluded, and I agree. When I danced tango, I ...
Seville, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands nancydeb... I go to the daycare after class at 11 and stay till 1:30 or so. Its really sad cause the daycare is in the very poorest part of the city where its mostly gypsies, and these people have almost nothing. Their houses are little shacks. The daycare is only for kids ages 3 and younger, because then they are allowed to go into public schools. The kids come every day and pretty much we bathe them and feed them and play. A lot of them come really dirty and with very few or really ...
Sevilla, Spain spaulos... be bullfights, but to see this giant bullring was breathtaking even when empty. It's the Wimbledon of bullfights, as many of the great fighters have contests here. Our guide gave us some excellent information, and we enjoyed seeing the ring without having to actually witness the act itself. (I have to admit that I would not want to support bullfighting since it's unbelievably cruel and inhumane to the bulls, but I would like to see one ...
Sevilla, Spain eurorich... he thought he had landed in India, because he didn't have his maps. We're going to say the piece of paper was a map, but I don't know what to say to explain why it's in Sevilla. I'm gonna think about that, but it was still a fun assignment. After the market, we all walked down the street to this old food market which is just as ancient, and everyone in my group freaked out at a severed pig's head that was sitting on a table, having had most of ...
Sevilla, Spain catedoyle... think I can ever get tired of good Italian food. After that, we went back to Gabe's house and my parents picked me up to take me to the airport - Alex was going to drive me, but I had forgotten several things at home so my parents decided to just pick me up so I could have them. The airport was a piece of cake, carrying all my things with me onto the plane and sleeping for the short flight to DC. When I got there, my plane landed about 10 minutes late, making me miss my train to DC. The ...
Sevilla, Spain catedoyle... a fully operational operating theatre with state of the art lifesaving equipment - the guide even boasted that 2 operations could be performed at once! We then did a tour of The Real Alcazar which is a royal palace dating from the 14th century. Much like the Alhambra in Granada, the architecture is amazing. It is interesting to see the Islamic influence in this part of Spain. Seville ...
