I arrived at Brighton train station Sunday afternoon. From there I walked to the hostel where I booked a room for two nights. The "Sea dragon Hostel" was not far from the beach. When I got there no one was at the reception, but some guests let me in and I could let my bag stay there. I took a walk on the beach and stopped for some food. When I came back to the hostel after two hours I could check in. I shared a room with three other travelers.
After I checked in I called that French g...
After my last entry, despite my lack of sleep, I set out to see a few London sites. It was wonderfully sunny, so I started by strolling through Green Park and St.James' Park, and saw Buckingham Palace in between. The palace was disappointingly plain, so I moved onto the much more ornate Parliament buildings. Across the street from them is Westminster Abbey. I don't know why, but I've always loved churches' architecture, perhaps due to the amount of effort and detail people put into building ...

As this is my first ever entry that my background is of someone who has travelled the United Kingdom an awful lot and has travelled to a lot of Europe, Australia and New Zealand. I will have a lot more to contribute in the coming months, but that is it for now and I hope that I shall enjoy meeting many new people and share your thoughts and experiences.
Eastbourne, England, United Kingdom clearday67... amp; bustle.
Our swim came round soon enough, a few lengths of the pool and into the thermal pool (which was hotter than the day before, but still would really like one of those at home!) and another chilly dip in the whirlpool (which didn't really whirl at all). Then it was time to pack, check out of the hotel, organise our transfer to the airport and then one final longer stretch of the legs before heading back to the airport - this time more ...
... some old coins. Some think it is Medieval, and some think it was put there in the seventeen hundreds as the folly of a wealthy land owner. Either way, it is certainly an odd thing to see as you are driving along. The rest of my time here has been spent planning my Europe adventure. We have booked some tickets to Poland, and will be flying to Krakow, on the fourth of November. From there we plan to take a quick trip down to A small town in The ...
Brighton, England, United Kingdom jimborussellFrank his hand is going better, but is still not healed, so we go on engine (remember, I am very skilled!) The trip is fine, the sun is shining, we again have the wind against us, but it is not very strong, fortunately. We arrive around 2 PM to the lock of the "lady bee" marina, oups, a BIG lock, made for BIG ships, and with no floating pontoons. So, we use a ladder, and while the lock is getting filled (4 ...
Shoreham By Sea, England, United Kingdom isabelle134Today almost no wind, so we did the whole trip on the engine. No tackling, going straight, well, we arrive at a decent hour. Again a new experience though: a lock, and there is a traffic jam! Everybody waits to get in, so we all are there side by side, trying to keep the boats noses right where it has to be, without bumping the one into the other. Frank is doing a super job, and ...
Eastbourne, England, United Kingdom isabelle134Today, we leave for Eastbourne, and the wind is not very good (grrr, they had forecasted S-SE wind, but well, forecasts are not this good those days), which means we will have to tack, which will reduce our speed! The weather is ok, even some sun, but we get tired. We reach Dungeness, pass it, but soooo slowly... Frank starts to evaluate our ...
Eastbourne, England, United Kingdom isabelle134... inside all the shops and pubs as we passed. It was getting to be evening, though, so not everything was open and thriving. It was that between-time when shops were closed and pubs were just beginning to get busy. Everything has a weird timing here in England that I'm not used to yet, but it will come. We made out way toward the coast and were happy to finally feast our eyes upon the blue sea. The beach we were expecting wasn't quite sandy though, and ...
Brighton, United Kingdom kyle.ackerman... Two houses catch fire in Brighton. In one house is a lesbian couple and in the other house there is a gay couple. Who got out alive? The gay couple - they got their **** packed last night" Went to see Emili at work for a drink and when that closed we went to The Globe down the road where we found what looked to be the Batman Lair and Poppa Nug told us some stories until that bar closed and we walked home with Emili.
